The Marker in Digbeth

Shooting is underway in Digbeth for The Marker, a film starring Frederick Schmidt, Ana Uluru, and John Hannah.

Writer-director Justin Edgar’s fourth film is a low-budget noir thriller about a criminal seeking redemption by tracking down the daughter of the woman he killed. Along the way he is haunted by his guilt in the guise of the woman’s ghost.

Justin said: “I am delighted to be working with the amazing cast we have assembled and with such great and supportive backers who have decided to join us on this dark journey.”

The film’s script has been described as “powerful, original and atmospheric” – and that certainly comes across in the behind-the-scenes images we have seen so far!

  1. It’s a great story presented in front of a very atmospheric Digbeth backdrop…and I’m in it. (Blink and you’ll miss me, Guy in pub) Got paid in Guinness!
