There’s quite a few YouTube films and Flickr sets of Sunday’s St Patrick’s Festival parade out there already.  Here are a few:

YouTube – Night Out at The Custard Factory – I’m absolutely loving this little film – a gang get warmed up at the flat, catch the train to Birmingham then party the night away at the Ecelctictry Festival in the Custard Factory. It’s a brilliant documentary of a great night out.

YouTube – The Deuce Soundsystem Ghetto Blaster @ The Custard Factory 28.09.09 – A little while ago I was walking along the back of the Custard Factory when I was greeted by this huge ghetto blaster, so I took picture. And then I see it in action on YouTube.

YouTube – john v chubbs arm wrestling – ‘Chubbs doing john on the arm wrestle in a pub in Digbeth’ which I think is The Kerry Man. Or possibly OC’s. I really enjoy coming across these little clips of people’s lives.

Getgood Link: BIRMINGHAM STREETART Part 10 Digbeth

BIRMINGHAM STREETART Part 10 Digbeth – The ‘latest in the operation digbeth art movement, more bigger n better artists have hit the scene in Birmingham n hopefully judging by this video, i hope there is more to come’.

The local graffiti was discussed at the last Residents’ Association meeting and there’s something of a local divide here. Some, like me, love the slightly anarchic life it injects into the area whilst others feel it drags Digbeth down and makes it look scruffy. Unsure if there’s a way those two parties can find a happy compromise, but it’s an interesting debate.
