YouTube – Night Out at The Custard Factory – I’m absolutely loving this little film – a gang get warmed up at the flat, catch the train to Birmingham then party the night away at the Ecelctictry Festival in the Custard Factory. It’s a brilliant documentary of a great night out.
YouTube – john v chubbs arm wrestling – ‘Chubbs doing john on the arm wrestle in a pub in Digbeth’ which I think is The Kerry Man. Or possibly OC’s. I really enjoy coming across these little clips of people’s lives.
YouTube – Digbeth Winter Gardens Time Lapse – Keep Digbeth Vibrant records the erection of the Spotted Dog’s new garden roof. You can now eat, drink, smoke and be merry in the fresh air whatever the weather.

The local graffiti was discussed at the last Residents’ Association meeting and there’s something of a local divide here. Some, like me, love the slightly anarchic life it injects into the area whilst others feel it drags Digbeth down and makes it look scruffy. Unsure if there’s a way those two parties can find a happy compromise, but it’s an interesting debate.
