Public speaking outside St Martin’s Church

Harry Palmer talks about hedgehogs from Nicky Getgood on Vimeo.

On Saturday afternoon I went to see Harry Palmer of Eccentricity revive the practice of public speaking outside St Martin’s Church by the Bullring.  His speech on Hedgehogs drew in quite a crowd, beating the nearby preacher despite not being albe to match his ridiculously loud soundsystem in volume.  If you’d like to learn more about looking out for hedgehogs should go to West Midlands Hedgehog Rescue and the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.  Both organisations will tell you to NOT FEED THEM MILK.

Dom’s following talk extolling the virtues of alternative relationships gave everyone a lot of food for thought and ignited debate.  I think the conclusion was to not conduct this type of relationship with someone who has an anger management issue.

Harry hopes this will be the start of a series of talks that will re-establish the tradition of public speaking on this spot.  There is talk of investing in a soapbox and a megaphone.
