I thought I’d share my experience of Guardoggy, who looks after a courtyard of empty pallets on Cheapside. He’s very serious about his work, madly barking and throwing himself against the railings in an effort to get to you if you walk on the pavement alongside. I’ve lost count of the number of times he’s suddenly started at me when I’m walking home late at night and made me jump halfway across the street. Now I’ve gotten used to him I make sure to walk on that side of the street when I’ve unsuspecting friends with me, just to see their reactions. Anyone to come up with a suitable name for Guardoggy wins a Melox Marvels Dog Biscuit.
