cardboard wars – Highlights from Juneau Projects’ ‘Cardboard Wars’ at Eastside Projects on 22nd August. I went and it was so much fun, fashioning weapons out of cardboard and glue then using them to hit a small child repeatedly.
It seems the fruits of our labours will be on display alongside the BCU MA Art degree show this Friday 4th September, 6.30 – 9.00pm, at the Art School, Margaret Street and runs until 12th September. Juneau Projects will be playing live at the opening with homemade animal instruments.
Where is the Whitby Bus? A game for Brum Twitter crowd – In his response to the Big City Plan bus-thieving debacle, Clive Dutton said, ‘I really do hope we can move forward beyond this unfortunate experience’. Can we heck, where’s the fun in that? So if you’re on Twitter hop aboard and play Simon Howes’ ‘Where is Whitby’s bus?’ game. If you can make it stop in Highgate you’re already doing better than the council.
Euro Fun Park is back for 2009 – Starts 12th February – Birmingham Eastside announce all the fun of the fair at the Euro Fun Park, Birmingham Opposite Millennium Point, Curzon Street. Starts Thursday Feb 12th until Sunday 22nd Feb 2009. Open Daily 1pm-9pm, last entry 8pm. Unlimited Rides for £5.99. Children under 1 metre £2.00.

Digbeth to get Birmingham’s tallest office building – Eastside blog announces the plans for Digbeth’s Beorma Quarter, which have been released today. Includes pictures. The mixed-use developmet (is there any other kind?) features what would be the city’s tallest building, an office building 27 storeys (107m) in height. I’m really not sure what I think of this.
