Hip Digbeth

With the aim of inspiring city breakers with new places to discover, Travel Supermarket released its Hip Hangout Neighbourhood Index in January.

After scouring the UK to find the most current, independent-feeling neighbourhoods, unspoiled by commercialism, Digbeth was named as the third hippest area in the country! And rightly so if you ask me.

You’ll be glad to hear that the ranking wasn’t based on a beard-to-face ratio… Instead, Travel Supermarket “looked at everything from independent coffee shops and vintage fashion outposts to traveller value and creative culture – the things that set a hip destination apart from the rest of the pack” – which Digbeth clearly has in abundance!
