The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has started an electoral review of Birmingham City Council, inviting proposals for a new pattern of wards to accommodate 100 councillors across the city.
Digbeth is currently part of Nechells Ward, which covers a huge part of central Birmingham from Erdington to Highgate. This is an opportunity to help split the ward into neighbourhoods that share interests and identities, and change the name to something more recognisable. The new wards and their boundaries will come into effect at the local elections in 2018.
This workshop at BVSC will provide an opportunity to learn more about the electoral review, and ask any questions. For more information or to register your attendance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
