Chitty’s Cakes

Opening times: Tuesdays – Saturdays, 10:00-18:00
Where: Chitty’s Cakes, 4 Gibb St, The Custard Factory, Digbeth, B9 4AA

After five years behind the scenes at the Custard Factory, Chitty’s Cakes (finally) have a shop front!

Owner Rebecca Chitty left a high-flying career just over six years ago to start up her own business, and is excited about taking this next step. Over a conversation with an amazing hot chocolate in her lovely café (do not be afraid of venturing upstairs!), I learned more about Rebecca’s plans and ideas for the space. Safe to say that we are really excited about the future of this new addition to Digbeth’s independent retail landscape!

You can now pop by to the café to enjoy a slice of cake with a hot drink, buy some cupcakes to take away, or purchase some new cake decorating tools. Better still – Digbeth residents can enjoy a 10% discount in the shop by quoting “Digbeth is Good”.

Chitty’s sell only the equipment that they use and recommend themselves, so you can trust that you’re buying quality, along with the advice on exactly how to use it. And alongside their in-depth cake decorating classes, you can now also participate in shorter 45-minute workshops in the shop, which are available to book online for just £10.
