This weekend, Digbeth Dining Club is gearing up for an eleven-hour takeover by Birmingham favourite and Digbeth-based radio station, Brum Radio.
The main aim of the event is to raise funds for Brum Radio, to ensure it can remain the independent and alternative voice of Birmingham.
Throughout the evening, resident DJs Before the Sol, Goosensei, and Sam Redmore will be supplying beats to accompany the DDC eats. Meanwhile in Mama Roux’s from 17:30, there will be a live panel discussion focusing on the future of internet radio hosted by Danny de Reybekill, followed by live music from up-and-coming local acts.
Afterwards, Spotlight will be opened for further celebrations until the early hours. The panel discussion and live music in Mama Roux’s is free entry, with part two in Spotlight £5 entry from 22:00. All proceeds from the event will go towards funding Brum Radio. For more information, head to the takeover’s Facebook event page here.
