When: Thursday 27th September, 19:00
Where: The Spotted Dog, Warwick Street, Digbeth
As The Rootless Forest passes through the Birmingham & Fazeley and Digbeth Branch canal networks, it traverses a range of contexts and situations that demand further exploration. The nature of the canal networks shifts with the journey of the forest from redevelopment to decay and neglect, creating spaces for informal gatherings, witnessing, exchange and criticality.
Beyond the Pale is a programme of discussions that follow the route of The Rootless Forest. The Spotted Dog hosts an evening of film, music and debate on the subject of neighbourhood, localisation and place that reflects subjects pertinent to Beyond the Pale with input from a range of agencies and projects.
