Synth Eastwood at Flatpack Festival « More Canals than Venice – Pixie Sixer spots this nice film of Dublin collective Synth Eastwood’s visit to The Rainbow for what was for me a serious hightlight of the Flatpack Film Festival.
The night at the Rainbow Warehouse featured acts such as Clark, Health & Efficiency and Gangpol and Mit. During the run up to the event the Synth Eastwood boys were running all over the city to get footage for the night. Above are some of the results. There may be some people you recognise!
One of the best bits of the evening for me is the visuals of famous film clips which cut away to green figures acting out the same scenes. Watch the video from 1.15 mins onwards to see what I’m talking about – it’s a brilliantly striking effect and that must have taken them bloody ages to master, a labour of love I really fell for.
