Multipack: Hack the Planet – Blog – Digital Birmingham – This Sat 20th Feb The Multipack, “a community of multi-talented Web professionals from across the West Midlands” are holding a hack day at One Black Bear, 191 Fazeley Street from 10am.
The aim of the day is to build a Web site or app that encourages Web people like us to think about how we can reduce the size of our carbon footprint, both in the office and on the road.
In terms of people who should attend, whilst there will be a number of web designers and programmers who are interested, I’d encourage anybody to come along who has ideas for how we can use the web to encourage people to become greener. Newcomers are certainly welcome, although no spectators–there’s no reason why people can’t chip in, and maybe learn a thing or two in the process!
