According to Moneysupermarket, Birmingham B12 is the seventh most expensive place in the UK for car insurance. In fact Birmingham overall seems to be pretty pricey – B8, B10 and B11 postcodes also made it into the top ten. Anyone know why?
The reason why B8, B10-12 postcodes are expensive car insurance area’s is due to criminal gangs who have controlled accidents in the area and then claim injuries such as back problems etc. It is a well known scam in the car insurance game with Manchester, Liverpool and Bradford also being targeted by criminal gangs.
