Birmingham contemporary art museum | Created in Birmingham – There’s a feasibility study to complete and some budgeting to be done but it looks like, if it happens, ‘Tate Birmingham’ could well be in Digbeth – on the site of the wholesale markets, if Councillor Martin Mullaney’s musings are anything to go by. With the Wholesale Markets moving and a large space being created it would offer a central focal point to attract visitors to the Southside area and build on the creativity of Digbeth.
