Karen Bryan’s tour of Digbeth and its bus depot

YouTube – Nicky Getgood of Digbeth is Good – On Thursday Birmingham had a visitor – Karen Bryan of the Europe a la Carte blog. After a busy day on the Number 11 bus with Jon Bounds, seeing the Jewellery Quarter and The Electric Cinema, she walked around Digbeth with Karen Strunks and I.

We had a grand old time, taking in the pubs, street art and public art and, thanks to Karen Strunks’ blagging skills, a grand tour of the Travel West Midlands bus depot on Liverpool Street by the lovely Myron. Karen Strunks got to sit in the diver’s seat of a brand new bus, we took a double decker ride through the bus wash and said farewell to some older buses destined for that great bus depot in the sky. Here’s some photos of our fun:

  1. Karen Bryan says:

Nicky, thanks so much for showing me around Digbeth. I haven’t managed to upload my photos yet.

As for, Ms Blagger Supreme (no not one of my typos), Karen Strunks, there’s a girl who know what she wants and goes for it.

I reckon that Travel West Midlands should make the charning Myron their official tour guide.
