The Birmingham Bead Shop – A lovely lady called Kate emailed me recently to let me know she’s setting up a Birmingham Bead Shop in The Custard Factory courtyard (in the old Creative Launchpad unit). It promises to be:

‘a lovely new independent shop selling beads, buttons and jewellery making supplies, as well as a ‘workshop area’ to flick through old magazines for ideas or use our tools to work on a project…I want it to be an informal, fun and inspirational space that will provide all the beaders, crafters and remotely interested people of Birmingham with somewhere to meet, chat, make, browse or spend ten minutes indulging in a hobby they enjoy.’

Kate’s doing a brilliant job of getting people involved from the outset by blogging the story so far, which is her moving into and fitting out the shop space. Can’t wait to see it when it opens. If you have some ideas of things you’d like to see or do there, get in touch with Kate and let her know – she has a fantastically open attitude and is after suggestions from potential customers.

Just a quick heads up that something went awry with your post – looks like a bunch of microsoft css leaked into your text.

Feel free to delete me when you fix it.
