JEE Camp by Kasper Sorensen | Created in Birmingham – Kasper writes about the JEEcamp journalism ‘unconference’ at Fazeley Studios last Friday. Apparently one of the main topics of discussion was the increasing power of hyper-local journalism, so I’m kind of gutted I was unable to go. Sounds like a very interesting day was had.

Hi Nicky,
It was indeed a very interesting day. What I found interesting from a bloggers point of view, which I understand is very different than a journalist (if you ask the latter), was the focus on small scale publications.
I understand from the people that attended last year, that the atmosphere was very different this time around. It was like everyone knew they had to start thinking of their own future, instead of worrying about the state of the industry and how to save it. Maybe last year it was about saving the media, and this year it was about saving journalism.
Anyway, thanks for the link…
