Irish Film Club #2: Waking Ned

Sanj Kavanagh is an artist working with members of the Irish community in St Eugene’s Court.  As part of her work she is delivering a weekly Irish film club.  Here’s her take on the second film:

Waking Ned

We watched waking Ned last Thursday and it went down like a storm.  Everyone really enjoyed the humour, and a lot of people commented on the fact that it was genuinely funny instead of ‘American ‘ funny.  One lady said it had changed her mind about watching comedies.  Everyone said it was a real shocking surprising ending.  A few people said it felt like they were having a party watching it, rather than a film club.  They all came out with the feel good factor, and overall it was rated a 9/10.
