Random Eastside Photos – Masshouse, Etna House, Aston University and more – Simon Howes went walkabout with his camera and posted the results on Birmingham Eastside. This one’s my favourite, purely because it lets me ask what on earth is going on with this lovely building on Fazeley Street? Is it being done-up or knocked down or something else? Or will it just stand there in its current sorry state for a while?

I’d like to know too. The one being re-roofed is fab. It takes confidence to keep going now after years of seeming to not bother (praps it’s cos building work is cheap or cos it needed a roof!)
You’re thinking the same as me. I noticed it with its fencing. I have seen too many old blue brick buildings like this get demolished in the last couple of years. I do hope the building stays.
