Getgood Link: Photo Walk 22/01/09

Photo Walk 22/01/09 – The lovely Carl, aka Snow Blind, takes a walk round Digbeth and these are the results. This one’s my favourite because it suggests what could be fun, hunting game:

These posters are all over Digbeth, and this is the only place they are all together (that I’ve found) I will now make it my mission to find all four of them around Digbeth.

Can you find them before Carl can?

I’m sure you’ve already noted that this is exactly the kind of thing that helps build interest in and credibility for Digbeth as a cultural hotspot. But it can’t be done in isolation from other generative activities. For example, if this prompts people to go hunting for the others, it would be ‘generative’ to layer in some other activities at the same time, so that the cumulative effect would be a buzz about the interactive, multilayered qualities of the space.

What kind of activities? Could be anything from food to games, architectural tours to gallery events.

There are a couple in the Rainbow I believe. This calls for a google map with photos!

  3. Open Google Map, comin’ up! :-)

I can pop on the one I saw on my way home today. Plus it won’t be competitive then, it’ll be all sweet and sharing our Ball-Head-Thingy discoveries.

DP – I did indeed. I’m on it and have a few ideas burning away which I hope will come into fruition at Nikki Pugh’s BARG meet-up, 7pm this Thurs in Lamp Tavern on Barford St. Come join us!
