Harnessing Lunar Hysteria at Fazeley Street Studios from Nicky Getgood on Vimeo.

This evening saw the launch of Harnessing Lunar Hysteria at Fazeley Street Studios.  The blurb said that:

Swain & Louise embrace and challenge ideas of lunar cycles and female hysteria. This voyeristic approach to a tender subject is an opportunity to see what really goes on behind closed doors …

What goes on behind closed doors when one is on their ‘lunar cycle’ is not a lot.  And that’s exactly what the films show the suffering wire manequins doing – soaking in the bath, lying in bed and monging on the sofa.  All to a soundtrack of of what sounds like underwater whale moaning, which sounded pretty close to what my stomach blares into my brain once a month.

Harnessing Lunar Hysteria will be on at Fazeley Studios until Friday next week.
