• Culture Jam 2 – Anyone around Birmingham tomorrow (Friday 14th) should come along to Culture Jam 2 a The Rainbow.
• Monorex Presents Secret Wars…The World’s Premier Live Art Championships! – ‘Secret Wars is the World’s premier live art battle – working in similar ways to Fight Club, Secret Wars battles are set up / promoted through word of mouth. These live art battles are being hosted in the darkest corners of each city…’ They’ll be in Birmingham in The Rainbow this Saturday. Many thanks to Shona McQuillan for letting me know about this one.
• Modculture News: Sounds and Pressure in the Midlands – ‘Scorcher in Birmingham on Saturday November 22nd. Brian Kelson and Phil Bush bring their usual mix of skinhead and mod sounds to this annual event, taking place at Cob’s Bar, 125 Sherlock Road, Digbeth. The event runs 7.30pm-2.30am (although there is also a daytime get-together), with entry being £6.’
