I must say a massive thank you to my new friend Lee Kemp at Fullrange Films for donating me this gorgeous little Flip machine (next to cat for scale, cuteness and lolling potential). This means that from now on I won’t be bringing you the delights of Digbeth with just words and pictures, but with film too! I’ve lots of exciting projects planned for my little Flip, starting off with John Tighe’s head shaving in the Spotted Dog tomorrow night. You lucky, lucky lot.
Lee was even thoughtful enough to buy me a tiny tripod, so all Flip is really missing is a name. The person who comes up with the best one will win the lock of hair John’s promised me, from his very own head. Don’t all rush at once.

Don’t want a lock of Mr Tighe’s hair particularity – although it could form the start of a Brummie of the Year museum collection. But, the camera should of course be named for a frenchman in beach footwear…

I just thought I’d say that I already knew how big a flip was, but not how big your lovely cat was — so the scale thing rather worked in reverse for me.
