Guardoggy

I thought I’d share my experience of Guardoggy, who looks after a courtyard of empty pallets on Cheapside. He’s very serious about his work, madly barking and throwing himself against the railings in an effort to get to you if you walk on the pavement alongside. I’ve lost count of the number of times he’s suddenly started at me when I’m walking home late at night and made me jump halfway across the street. Now I’ve gotten used to him I make sure to walk on that side of the street when I’ve unsuspecting friends with me, just to see their reactions. Anyone to come up with a suitable name for Guardoggy wins a Melox Marvels Dog Biscuit.

  1. Kewl post Nicky!

This dog has scared me several times- but always at night time. I had never seen it til now.

I adopted the same method of walking up the left side and have annoyed friends when in a paranoid fit of despair have made them quickly cross over before she/he barks.

Ironically, I grew up with a gentle, loving,’penchant for Chinese food loving’ ‘Rottweiler/Doberman but this doggy scares me poo-less.

Thanks to your pic I can confront my enemy ‘visually’ or walk a different route ;-)

  2. He mellows a bit when you talk to him. Today he just gave me a cursory glance and then went back to licking his balls. Think he’s used to me now.
