When I mentioned to Pete that for a while I’ve been wanting to don some waders and explore the River Rea, he told me that Silent UK have already gone and done it. Their verdict: is not so grate achully. So maybe I won’t go risking Viles disease just yet.

I thought it was Weil’s disease – or is this a pun?
No pun, just ignorance plus the spelling in my head was confirmed when I googled it by someone answering this canal-water drinking idiot: http://tinyurl.com/62eaxq Stupidity beyond the call of duty.
I just googled that and I see what you mean!
I wonder if he is dead yet..
Dear Nicky – Lee (Griffiths) did do a walk down the River Rea – he got on about where the Mosque is -= and had a great time ! however he also slipped and split his eyebrow/side of head and needed stitches. I should really get him to write about it – though I remember a few people from factories throwing things at him, some chatting, waving – he really enjoyed the vision of the city from that angle and has some pics somewhere in the Edge…. I think he would have gone further, before the accident! He’s also accessed the river rea (when he dropped a recorder on one of our walks around the area) – and he accessed this in Cheapside. All in all – he thought it was great…. no doubt entirely illegal…. regards for now, Sandra.
